The Sultan of Omans Armed Forces, also known as the Royal Army of Oman and Royal Navy of Oman or Royal Air Force of Oman respectively, are the Royal Army of Oman and Sultans Special Force, the Royal Navy of Oman and Royal Air Force of Oman. With British assistance, the SAF was established in the 1950s.

They have twice defeated insurgencies that have threatened the state's integrity or social structure. More recently, they have provided contingents or facilities for coalitions to defend the Persian Gulf Arab states.
