Tébessa or Tebessa (Arabic: تبسة‎ Tibissa, Tbessa or Tibesti), the classical Theveste, is the capital city of Tébessa Province region of northeastern Algeria. It hosts several historical landmarks, the most important one being the wall that surrounds the city and its gates.

The city is also known for its traditional Algerian carpets. Tébessa was home to over 190,000 people in 2007.
