Novo Hamburgo (Portuguese for New Hamburg; German: Neu-Hamburg) is a municipality in the southernmost Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, located in the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre, the state capital. The Sinos River runs through the urban area.
