Ohrid (manchmal auch Ochrid, mazedonisch Охрид, Aussprache: [ˈɔxrit], albanisch Ohër, türkisch Ohri) ist mit etwa 39.000 Einwohnern die achtgrößte Stadt Nordmazedoniens. Sie ist Verwaltungssitz einer Großgemeinde und liegt im Südwesten des Landes am Ohridsee, unweit der albanischen Grenze. Ohrid bildet ein regionales wirtschaftliches, kulturelles und religiöses Zentrum und ist der größte Ort am Ohridsee. Nahe der Stadt befindet sich der Flughafen Ohrid, einer der zwei internationalen Flughäfen Nordmazedoniens.

Heute ist Ohrid eine überregional bekannte Touristenattraktion. Die gut erhaltene Altstadt, die Festung mit Rundblick, die vielen Kirchen, Klöster und Moscheen sowie der große, Millionen Jahre alte See ziehen nicht nur Fremde aus den Balkanländern, sondern auch aus dem übrigen Europa und aus Asien an. Die UNESCO erklärte 1979 den Ohridsee und ein Jahr darauf die Umgebung des Sees zum UNESCO-Welterbe.
